WELCOME
Chenery Auditorium serves the diverse needs of dozens of area organizations for music and dance concerts, recitals, lectures, and theatrical performances. The Friends of Chenery, a group of citizen volunteers, raised millions of dollars over the past 10 years to renovate and restore this beautiful landmark. Check the schedule for the next great event.
Chenery Auditorium, located in the “old” Kalamazoo Central High School just south of downtown Kalamazoo, was dedicated in 1924 making it the oldest auditorium in the area.
Each season offers a variety of programs featuring local groups such as the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Kalamazoo Concert Band, Gilmore Keyboard Festival, Kalamazoo Junior Symphony Orchestra, Ballet Arts Ensemble, Kalamazoo Childrens Chorus, and many others.
